UQCCR Auditoria and Seminar Rooms
The
UQ Centre for Clinical Research's (UQCCR) primary function is to
provide clinical research and research training facilities. Within
the centre, we offer high quality conferencing facilities in
a comfortable learning environment. This facility operates for the
benefit of clinical research at UQ and the RBWH, but is also
available for use by other and external groups where capacity
exists.

Equipment
UQCCR is advancing
clinical research in Australia by providing state of the art tools
for molecular and cellular biology over five floors of PC2
laboratories. There is also a dedicated clinical floor to enable
our clinician researchers to see and study patients on site,
while allowing our non clinical scientists ready access to patient
samples.
To facilitate the most advanced approaches to research, UQCCR has acquired cutting edge equipment that is both user friendly and has local technical support. Our core team strives to support the researcher so that they can put cast aside the pen of compliance and day to day housekeeping, and get back to the bench or bedside. This is done without compromising on high standards of occupational health and safety

Animal Bioluminescence/ Fluorescence Imaging
The Xenogen IVIS® Spectrum offers
transmission fluorescence, reflective fluorescence or
bioluminescence for in vitro and in vivo imaging. The
IVIS® Spectrum has a wide range of excitation and
emission filters catering to a variety of fluorophores. Excitation
filters 415 nm - 760 nm (30 nm bandwidth) Emission filters 490 nm -
850 nm (20 nm bandwidth).

Real time PCR suite
Capable of performing HRM
and simultaneous five colour analysis. The suit consist of the
Corbett Rotor Gene 6000, Biorad iQ5 and ABI StepOne Plus.
